The ALCASA 2025 Fringe SAHRA Poster

Since 2014, the Arabic Language and Culture in SA (ALCASA) community came together through Arabic art, music and dance, holding intimate SAHRA celebrations (evening entertaining events) that connected us to our roots. These gatherings were a cherished tradition—until the pandemic forced us to pause. Though we returned to the Adelaide Fringe with “Aghaani Zamaan”, traditional Arabic songs performances, in recent years, something has been missing.

This year, we decided it was time to bring back to life more aspects of the ALCASA cultural showcase. By registering our well-established SAHRA in the Fringe, we are not only reviving our annual celebration but also giving it new meaning—sharing it with a wider audience and embracing our place in the Adelaide city’s vibrant artistic landscape.

As we prepare to step onto the stage once again, we invite you to join us—not just as an audience, but as part of our journey. Let’s celebrate culture, resilience, and the power of the SA Arabic-speaking community.

See you at the 2025 Fringe SAHRA!
